Appellate litigation

Appellate litigation differs from trial court litigation, and requires a specialized focus on  written and oral advocacy.  The attorneys at Ahmad and Zaffarese have this specialized experience in both state and federal appellate matters.  The Attorneys at Ahmad and Zaffarese have handled appeals before the Superior, Supreme and Commonwealth Courts of Pennsylvania, and Third Circuit Court of Appeals.  In addition, members of the firm have experience in filing Petitions for certiorari before the United States Supreme Court. The attorneys at Ahmad and Zaffarese can handle both matters which were originally handled by the firm on the trial court level and matters which were handled by other litigation counsel.

The attorneys at Ahmad and Zaffarese can perform all functions necessary to the appeal process, including prepare or respond to post-verdict motions at the trial level, evaluate existence and merit of appealable issues, research and analyze the law, file appeals, prepare appellate briefs, and argue before appeal panels in both state and federal courts.
